Services: LEAN Approach

Are you tired of the LEAN implementations you have been offered? The ones that require months of training before you start getting the benefits, or the training that you have already tried which died out as soon as the Consultant “left the building”?

PQI Consulting has tested and proven that the process, which we call the LEAN Approach, successfully addresses these concerns.

Many of the LEAN training techniques in use by others treat LEAN as if it was totally new and totally from Japan. This method can create a subtle resistance that may be overcome for a while, but can be difficult to maintain when the Consultant is not on-site. The LEAN Approach recognizes that employees are aware of many of the methods (some over 100 years old) and focuses the training efforts on integrating the roots of LEAN (many from the United States) with the newer methods so they can be used effectively.

By using hands-on Case Studies, Exercises and Scenarios, the LEAN Approach shows employees how the tools are best used in their own organization. Most importantly it generates the individual desire to improve, which drives the search for the appropriate tools at the right time.

It actually uses LEAN during the training!

July 2010
Summer is upon us – it is a hot time to make some summer resolutions. Pick one (or more) of these to accomplish over the summer:
  • Anticipate where the issues will be. Address them now. Double the number of Preventive Actions (don't wait for the need to do a Corrective Action).
  • Find out what your Safety and Environmental managers know about ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 – do they believe in Management Systems?
  • Complete all Internal Audits on-time.
  • Start to have at least one trained Internal Auditor in each department/area of your organization.
  • Publicize at least one benefit per month you get from being ISO 9001 registered – include the $ saved or generated.
"Instructor was very precise on all aspects of the Project Management class and very knowledgeable. He answered any questions we had for him, including clear examples.
